Pray for Anything
PRAY FOR ANYTHING
Greetings in the Name of the Lord Jesus,
If I were to preach to you, I would preach the message of repentance...
full repentance, not the rationalized partial repentance which only brings partial forgiveness.
You know what partial repentance is...you tell God you are sorry...but you don't change what you're doing.
And partial forgiveness is the result....you feel good, but God hasn't forgiven you, and your punishment awaits you.
( Score one for the Evil One... another deceived Christian in his ' walk with the Lord ' . )
I have noticed, partial repentance is a response of those to whom Jesus is 'Savior' ,
having died on the Cross to save them who ' believe '.
To them, Christ is not their Lord.....for Jesus said " So why do (how can) you call me ' Lord ' when you won't obey me " Lk 6:46 TLB
In todays society, we no longer understand the Biblical meaning of such words as King, Lord, or Master,
nor do we have any concept of the Biblical relationship and authority of a Father/Son,
and so we are able to rationalize our ' christian ' behavior without guilt.
Accepting someone as Lord, requires TOTAL obedience .
But I don't want to preach to you, I want you to learn something that will change your life.
The Bible tells us that Jesus said " you can pray for anything, and if you believe, you have it; " Mk 11:24 TLB
This is an awesome promise, one that unfortunately is ignored by some denominations....
and taken out of context by others causing 'believers' to "name it and claim it"....
God's Power to accomplish anything is without limitation...
"with God, everything is possible " Mk10:27 TLB
and if God said " you can pray for anything, and if you believe, you have it; " Mk11:24
then who are we that should not do so...but first let us hear what Jesus said in the next verse :
" But when you are praying ( anytime) , first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, " Mk11:25 TLB
The King James and NIV say " And when you pray......"Mk 11:25 indicating Jesus' intention that it is required of usto forgive everyone.
I know that forgiving some people may be difficult....but as you try to develop spiritual maturity, you too will be able to experience the abilities that Paul described " I can do all things through Christ..." Phil 4:16
and God will reward your faithfullness in attitude and motive
